A perfect book for reading just before tucking your toddler into bed. A great book for fathers and sons to read together and an absolutely heartwarming book that all kids and parents can relate. We give this book as a gift. It really encourages reading before bedtime. Our other favorite book is "Going to Sleep on the Farm" by Wendy Cheyette Lewison.

He writes so that kids and parents both get it. His irony is hillarious and the kids totally enjoy that their feelings are portrayed. LOVE it.

This book is fantastic! My 3 year old son never wants to go to bed because he doesn't want to miss anything. We've had multiple frusterations with the bedtime routine. "Just Go to Bed" is now a request each evening and Christopher is able to quote the book. We'll see if his little brother enjoys it as much.

My 3 year old loves this book. I do too, when she's being difficult about going to sleep, we read this and she follows Lil Critters example. LOL I use whatever works...and this works.

My son loved having his mom read the Mercer Mayer books to him as a preschooler. Now, as a kindergartener, he is reading them to me! How wonderful that a series of books can "grow" with a child!
