Sew Cute Couture by Gail Doane is an absolute delight. I have sewn children's clothes for many years and consider myself accomplished but the ideas in this book take little girls' smocked dresses and their matching jackets to another level.The colour schemes are charming and stylish.I just love the shaped yokes. The ideas for embellishment are intriguing. I have never thought of using tiny buttons in this novel and up-to-the minute way. I am well acquainted with bullion roses but the raised buttonhole flowers reminiscent of tatting are something else again. The instructions are clear and concise and I can't wait to get started on a dress for my granddaughter with a jacket to match.Highly recommended Jennifer Were in Christchurch, New Zealand.

This book is great. It is full of adorable outfits that inspire me to get out my sewing equipment and start on several of the projects.
I just love the outfits and can't wait to make them. The instructions are written in an easy to read fashion.

Gail Doane's sewing, ideas are by far one of the top in the industry of Hand Sewing. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to sew children's clothing and wants to learn from the best!!! The pictures aid in any questions you might have in reproducing her beautiful work!!!
