5 out of 5 stars Kids love it   April 3, 2002

OK, you're saying, not another noisy toy for my kids to drive me nuts with, but this one is not as bad as many. First of all, it's not electronic, secondly, it's quieter than a lot of other toys. And besides, my kids have loved it. Every toddler who comes over enjoys playing with it. We lost the hammer a long time ago, but my kids have found other things that work just as well, a honey dipper for instance. Worth the money as we've had it for 5-6 years and it's still going strong.

5 out of 5 stars A Toy that will be enjoyed for years   November 4, 2002

I can honestly say my son has been playing with this toy for 3 years. Many of the toys he got as a baby have been packed away but not this one. I love the fact that the stricker is attached with the string so it won't get lost. A bonus is if you turn it upside down there are ridges which make a great sound when the stricker is rubbed across them. I do wish the string was longer, so it could be played from either side and if it was attached at the end it could be used to pull the toy instead of using the handle. We lost the cards with the songs on them almost right away and I found them hard to use so we never really used them. But this toy was great anyway and I would highly reccommend it.

5 out of 5 stars A great toy for introducing music to your child   January 7, 2003

I purchased this for my son at 8 months because he seemed to be fascinated with the xylophone in his music class. He loves to bang on it, with the attached stick as well as with other objects. The tone is good and holds well when the bar is struck in the middle. Plus, it's a whole octave, so you can actually tap out songs. I admit the string holding the stick is a little short, but that's to keep it from being a choking hazard. My son has gotten better at using it as he has gotten older, and he hasn't shown any sign of getting bored with the xylophone. You can't go wrong for the money.

5 out of 5 stars This i a nice toy   September 25, 2001
This toy is nice and simple. It has large keys so it is easy for young children to hit them. I'm not sure why it comes on wheels. But for my son this is nice he enjoys pushing it around. On the back of the box there is music so you can learn to play 4 tunes. There is alittle holder for the music on the xlaphone. The wand is attached to the xylaphone by a string which is way to short. We eneded up having to untie it so that the toy would be more fun. It is a nice and inexpensive xylaphone. I think most kids would enjoy it

Both of my boys ( 2 and 4) enjoy this alot. It is heavy duty and can take their rough play.
